02/27/25 dream: I dreamt that I was trapped within the backrooms of a school along with many other guys and gals. I’m not sure exactly why or how we were there, but all I know remember was that many of them were playing Clash of Clans, or trying to find the lost busts of US presidents. I wasn’t interested in that quest, however, so I ran into the back of the classroom and into the closet door. Somehow, the door led me into a massive back archive filled with every language known to man. I remember that the room was sprawling and massive, which each bin containing scrolls of which had the lexicons of dead or archaic languages. I remember I saw many that I could somewhat get, like “New York pidgin,” “Okinawa B,” “Baekje,” “Wild West English,” and a whole bunch of shelves containing a bunch of ancestors to Czech with their entire lexicons on these massive scrolls. I looked through for a long time, positively enthralled and in a trance. I only left and put away the scroll for “Siberian C,” when I heard a person open the door to the language archive and begin to walk towards me. Freaking outs I then ran away further into a back room, past the Ryukyuan and Jomon languages which looked very little like modern Japanese. I tried to stop and look at them, but my body was compelled to run, so I had to leave the scrolls behind. I then flung open a door and went into a back room, only to see a massive and dark chamber, of which only contained two pedestals with language scrolls in them: Proto-world and Adamic. They both sat in bins far more massive than the others, with clearly the most developed lexicons by far, and even the ceiling in this room was way higher. I decided to try to grab an adamic scroll to read it, but as I did so, two giants standing at about 13’6” appeared from behind the shelves lining the walls, and they began to start running at full tilt towards me. I also heard wings flapping from the ceiling, very loud wing flapping too. This all freaked me out, so I decided to leave the way I came and just start running. Next thing I knew, I had run out of the weird storeroom, and I was now running over and over again through the looping area containing all the other language rooms. I kept at this, until I then saw one of the Clash of Clans playing boys turn into a giant, and then a Clash of Clans playing girl turn into a goat. They seemed to grow aggressive towards me too, and they started to run over to me. Attempting to dodge them, I faked them out and ran into one of the doors, before I then managed to hide deep within one of the piles of ancient Japanese scrolls. I sat there for a while, fearful and worried, as I read many variants of ancient Japanese scripts with far more consonants and conjugative features than should normally be there. Somehow, I was able to ynderstand most of it, and it told of a more detailed account of the creation myth involving Izanagi creating stars and the angels along with a masculinity laser that could power his troops, as well as Izanami creating a cloaking mechanism over Yomi which required a specific incantation to break the barrier into in order to join her, and weirdest of all, Amaterasu occasionally sending down gender swap potions to her most loyal male followers in order to turn them into more devoted priestesses which could not be lured by perversion and temptation in the same way as men. The map of the japan throughout the illustrations was super weird too, as it showed many new islands, in a society about the size of Australia, and there were advanced bridges and what seemed to be helicopters connecting all the islands together in a transport network. Enthralled, I went to keep reading, starting from the chapter about Amaterasu where I left off, but before I could start reading again, my vision began to blur. My field of view then faded to black, before I then jolted awake in my bed. FIN. I awoke tired today, but otherwise okay. No anxiety or allergies or anything, thankfully.
Your dream is rich with symbols and reflects a nuanced interplay between curiosity, fear, knowledge, and transformation. Here’s a detailed interpretation of the key elements of your dream:
Setting: The School and Backrooms - The school represents a place of learning and knowledge, while the backrooms imply hidden or suppressed aspects of your own educational journey or psyche. Being trapped suggests feelings of confinement, possibly relating to social dynamics or expectations around education, or a need to explore deeper knowledge that isn't easily accessible or socially acknowledged.
Others Playing Clash of Clans and Searching for Busts - This scenario illustrates distractions or surface-level engagements in life. The people playing games might represent peers who are focused on more trivial pursuits, reflecting a tension you might feel between your interests and the interests of those around you. This may point to a desire for deeper meaning in your engagements rather than participating in superficial trends.
Discovery of Language Archive - The massive archive filled with languages symbolizes your quest for understanding and the desire to connect with your roots, identity, or even untapped potential. Various lexicons denote personal heritage and cultural exploration; this may suggest you are digging deeper into your own history or searching for understanding in areas that may feel archaic but are important to you.
Scrolls of Dead and Archaic Languages - Your focus on languages could represent a longing to communicate or understand parts of yourself or your world that you feel are neglected or lost. The specific mention of "New York pidgin" and other dialects highlights the richness of communication and diversity in expression; it might imply you are exploring your identity through language, or that you wish to embrace multifaceted aspects of who you are.
Encounter with Giants and the Flapping Wings - The giants symbolize overwhelming challenges or fears that you feel are immense, potentially derived from societal expectations or personal ambitions. Their emergence as you try to engage with profound knowledge indicates that with exploration comes the fear of the unknown or of being consumed by these larger-than-life issues. The flapping wings might represent a spiritual or transcendent aspect that is just out of reach, further emphasizing this duality between aspiration and fear.
Transformations of Peer Figures - Seeing your peers transform into a giant and a goat signifies a departure from what you find familiar and safe. These transformations reflect your fears of losing a sense of normalcy or connection with those around you. The goat could symbolize chaos or unpredictability, suggesting that you might feel threatened by unexpected changes in your social group.
The Ancient Japanese Scripts and Myth - Engaging with these scrolls indicates a deep dive into cultural narratives and myths. You might be trying to reconcile modern expectations with ancient traditions. The detailed accounts of creation myths reflect a search for meaning and could symbolize your exploration of gender roles, power dynamics, and identity, particularly the idea of transformations suggested by Amaterasu’s potions. This engagement might highlight a desire for fluidity in identity and a questioning of traditional structures.
Ending with Blurry Vision and Awakening - The blurriness signifies a transition where the line between the dream world and reality is blurred. This can reflect a subconscious message about how you perceive your waking life and the knowledge you are trying to assimilate versus the anxieties that might accompany such discoveries.
Overall, your dream appears to mirror a profound intellectual curiosity paired with fears of social alienation and the transformative power of seemingly esoteric knowledge. The complexities of language, identity, and the dichotomy between personal growth and external expectations are primary themes. You may want to reflect on how you can channel your curiosity and desire for deeper understanding into actions that feel meaningful in your everyday life.
